The election is approaching, so we want to circle back to our Childcare Voting article released a few months ago. This article provides valuable information regarding how your vote can impact childcare! Click here to read it. We also have linked a voting toolkit here: Voting Toolkit.
In addition to preparing to cast your vote, talking with preschool aged children about voting is a great opportunity to help them understand the concept of group decision making and responsibility. Click here to learn more about how to talk with your child about voting. It suggests practicing voting with your child by asking questions like favorite colors and then making tally marks on a piece of paper to see which color is most popular with your family. Keep it simple and fun! There is a quick PBS age-appropriate video to watch too. Happy voting!
