Fort Washington Preschool

About Our Center

Established in 1981, Play and Learn Fort Washington Preschool was the first of its kind in the Fort Washington community. Play and Learn Fort Washington Preschool is nestled on beautiful, shaded grounds, on the Wordsworth Academy campus. Our playground is fully shaded with lots of climbing equipment and picnic areas and a paved area for riding toys is not far away. Inside you’ll find bright, cheerful classrooms for learning centers and play.

Fort Washington Preschool & The Community

Fort Washington Preschool does two food drives during the holiday season in partnership with two local churches in the community. In the winter, this location does a hat, glove, and scarf drive as well with a shelter in Chestnut Hill.

A message from the Director: Beth Higgins

I joined Play & Learn in 1996.  As the organization grew, I served in Center Director roles at several centers, and worked in the Administrative Office as the Enrollment Coordinator for a time.  Both of my children attended Play & Learn when they were young. I love working with children and enjoy watching them flourish. I have a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and a PA Director’s Credential.
