Back to school time can be fun and exciting, but also stressful. As school starts up again, children start new routines, return to old ones, and return to structured learning environments. This can be difficult, so we’ve compiled some tips and resources to help you if your child is struggling with starting or returning to school this month.
Some tips for families and caregivers as they send their children off to school:
- Talk with your child’s teacher to learn about daily classroom routines and transitions and how you can help support them.
- Try to stay calm and reassuring toward yourself and your child during tough transitions.
- Talk through what is expected of your child and remind them of their schedule and transitions each day to keep them familiar with the process.
