Established in 2002 in the former Upper Gwynedd Elementary School, Play and Learn Lansdale sits proudly in the heart of town. Our playgrounds have separate areas for younger and older children and a paved area for riding toys. Inside you’ll find bright cheerful classrooms for learning centers and play.
As part of our healthy living standards and alignment with the Let’s Move initiative, the Ardmore Center provides enrichment gym classes to our younger children and soccer classes to our older children. In addition to fitness classes, outside experts in music (for our younger children), Spanish and theater (for our older children) join us bi-weekly throughout the school year to provide more specialized instruction in those areas. These specialists always bring a smile to children’s faces.
Play and Learn Lansdale offers a full-day Kindergarten licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. A small class size allows for children to spend more one on one time with the teacher and develop the appropriate skills necessary for their transition to public or private elementary school.
You can have confidence that your child is well supervised and learning in our K-Plus Program, developed to accommodate children who attend a public or private half-day kindergarten program. Play and Learn Lansdale provides busing to and from Inglewood Elementary School.
In conjunction with the Pennsylvania Department of Education and the Office of Child Development and Early Learning (OCDEL), Play and Learn Lansdale offers the Pennsylvania Pre-K Counts program, a free pre-k program for eligible 3 and 4 year olds in Pennsylvania. Play and Learn Lansdale is one of only a few early education centers in Montgomery County to offer this quality education program for families.
For your convenience, Play and Learn Lansdale offers a low-cost lunch program. This optional programs may be perfect to ease your busy schedule.
Play and Learn Lansdale accepts subsidized payment from Child Care Information Services (CCIS) and offers scholarship assistance through the Granny Scholarship Fund.
Our staff looks forward to providing your child with a supportive and nurturing environment and the best in quality child care and early education.
A message from the Center Director, Kristi Bryson:
I have been working with Play and Learn as an administrator and Director since 2001. I have loved working here and I am excited to continue to grow with this organization. Prior to working with Play and Learn, I ran my own family child care center and worked in early childhood and elementary education. I received my B.S. in Communication and Educational Psychology from Temple University and my Master of Science in Education from the University of Pennsylvania.
My husband and I live in Lansdale and have six beautiful children. All of my children attended the Lansdale Play and Learn. I am committed to quality education in a safe and loving environment and find it working with your children a most rewarding experience.
