Blue Bell

About Our Center

Established in 1985 in the historic “Square Shadows” building, Play and Learn Blue Bell is set back from the road on private, wooded grounds. Our spacious, shaded playgrounds provide ample room for children to explore and play outdoors. Indoors you will find classrooms redesigned and ready for purposeful play!

Blue Bell & The Community

The Blue Bell center aims to provide quality care for as many families as possible. That is why we offer a low-cost lunch program, in addition to accepting subsidized payment from Child Care Works (CCW). We also offer scholarship assistance through the Granny Scholarship Fund.

Message from the Director: Laura Balde

My name is Laura Balde, and I am honored to serve as the Director at the Play and Learn Center in Blue Bell. My love for children began as I started mentoring and teaching the children in my community as a camp counselor at the age of 15.

Shortly after receiving my bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Neumann University, I began my first job in the early childhood field.  I have since had the privilege of working in several different centers throughout Pennsylvania, and I recently obtained my PA Director’s Credential.   As the Director of Play and Learn Blue Bell I will work my hardest to ensure that your children receive the highest level of standards in safety, care, and education.
