Abington

About Our Center

Opened in 2003, the Play and Learn Abington Center provides convenient, on-site childcare for Abington Jefferson Health employees and students who receive tuition discounts and priority enrollment, as well as the local community. Our spacious playgrounds have separate areas for younger and older children and a paved surface for riding toys. Indoors you’ll find bright, cheerful classrooms ready for learning and play as well as a large activity room for rainy day indoor fun.

Abington & The Community

For your convenience, the Abington Center offers a low-cost lunch program. The Play & Learn Abington Center also accepts subsidized payment from Child Care Information Services (CCIS) and offers scholarship assistance through the Granny Scholarship Fund.

Message from the Director: Natalie Brown

I have been with Play & Learn since 2009, where I started out as a Pre-School teacher before moving on to Pre-Kindergarten. I then moved up into the Assistant Director position and have since been promoted to Center Director. My educational background includes a Bachelors in Sociology, with a concentration in Deaf Studies. This degree has helped me a great deal in understanding the fundamental value in both how we parent and teach children, as well as how we interact with children as adults and how these interactions effect a child’s social development.
