Community Service at Play and Learn

At Play and Learn, we teach our children the importance of community service.  Each year, our centers participate in collection drives that support local organizations including Manna on Main, the Mattie Dixon Community Cupboard, the Open Link, A Baby’s Breath and many others.  Our children gain an understanding of what it means to helps others and to support their local community.

We also welcome those interested in completing community service at our centers.  Recently, 9th grader Joey Ziets of Rutgers Prep high school spent time with the children at the Fort Washington Play and Learn center.  He read stories to them, built block towers, and played tag on the playground.  The children welcomed the special visitor and were excited to spend some time with him.

If you attend high school and would like to complete community service at a Play and Learn center, please give us a call at 215-643-4142 and we’d be happy to arrange a special visit for you!
