Established in 1983 in the former Green Lane Elementary School, Play and Learn Green Lane has got it all! Our playgrounds have separate areas for younger and older children and a paved surface for riding toys. Inside you’ll find bright, cheerful classrooms for learning centers and play, an amazing open space for rainy day play, a super fun ball pit and a kitchen.
As part of our healthy living standards and alignment with the Let’s Move initiative, Play and Learn Green Lane provides enrichment gym and music programs as part of the curriculum. Outside specialists in sports and music join us twice a month and always bring a smile to the children’s faces. In addition, supplemental activity and learning programs are offered to families throughout the year.
Play and Learn Green Lane offers a full-day Kindergarten licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. A small class size allows for children to spend more one on one time with the teacher and develop the appropriate skills necessary for their transition to public or private elementary school.
For your convenience, Play and Learn Green Lane provides diapers and wipes to infants and young toddlers and lunch to older toddlers and preschoolers. Our goal is to make your daily routine a little easier because we know how busy life can be.
You can have confidence that your child is well supervised and learning in our K-Plus Program, developed to accommodate children who attend a public or private half-day kindergarten program. Play and Learn Green Lane also offers before and after school care for children through age 10. Busing to and from Marlborough Elementary is available at Play and Learn Green Lane.
Play and Learn Green Lane accepts subsidized payment from Child Care Information Services (CCIS) and offers scholarship assistance through the Granny Scholarship Fund.
Our staff looks forward to providing your child with a supportive and nurturing environment and the best in quality child care and early education.
A message from the Center Director, Carol Gesullo:
I have been with Play and Learn since 2002, with most of that time being spent working with children and families at our Play and Learn Center in Lansdale. Recently I have taken on the role of Director here at Green Lane. I have a degree in Early Childhood Education and am a member of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society. I continue to expand my education while taking courses for my PA Director Credentials. I am married with three grown children, twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren; all of whom live in the area. I look forward to getting to know the Green Lane families and their children as we all work together in providing your children a powerful and quality beginning to their education.
